ITE #003 Basic Tetrahedron (set of 6)
by: Crispin B. Hollinshead

This is the third of the Intentional Technology Experiments (ITE), an edition of six.

The basic shape is a tetrahedron, the most fundamental of the five Platonic Solids. Each crystal at the four nodes has been charged with the intention of Gratitude, Love, and Awakening. The Flower of Life medallions on each node cap reflect that energy back into the crystal node. LEDs shine through a graphic of the Flower of Life into the crystals, transferring the intention to the focal point of the structure.

The current for the LEDs runs through the coils on the struts, creating a tetrahedron of electromagnetic energy. In this series, the current in each coil is balanced, and the magnetic orientations are coordinated, creating a more balanced electromagnetic structure. The platform in the middle allows an object to be held at the focal point of the structure. The graphic on the platform is the Flower Of Life. The mirror reflects all the energy up into the room.

The crystals are Brazilian Quartz. The wood in the crystal nodes is Rock Maple, with Quilted Broad Leaf maple caps. The rest of the piece is Madrone. The medallions are cast pewter. The coils are enamel coated copper wire. The LEDs run on 4.5 volts DC.
