ITE #005 Bent Tetrahedron (set of 5)
by: Crispin B. Hollinshead

This is the fifth of the Intentional Technology Experiments (ITE), an edition of five.

The basic shape is a tetrahedron, the most fundamental of the five Platonic Solids. Each pair of crystals at the four nodes has been charged with the intention of Gratitude, Love, and Awakening. Five LEDs in each node shine through a graphic of the Flower of Life into the crystals, transferring the intention to the focal point of the structure.

The current for the LEDs runs through the coils on the struts, creating a tetrahedron of electromagnetic energy. The current in each coil is balanced, and the magnetic orientations are coordinated, creating an electromagnetic tetrahedral structure. The platform in the middle allows an object to be held at the focal point of the structure. The graphic on the platform is the Flower Of Life, over a copper foil reflector.

The inner and outer crystals are Brazilian Quartz. The wood is Madrone. The coils are enamel coated copper wire. The LEDs run on 5 volts DC from a wall transformer, and consume about 2 watts of power.
